 All sites based on the BU Core Design include a contact form, for visitors to fill out if
they have questions or concerns about the web site or if they failed
to find the information they were seeking. "Contact" is
linked from the Secondary Navigation Bar on all pages.
The Contact page is a standard page with a standard template, and asks the visitor to fill out some basic information (name, email address, etc.). The output from the contact form can be easily formatted with a plain-text template, and webmasters can specify who receives the email notification when a visitor fills out the form on their sites.
The contact section also includes a "thank you" page. Typically, this page will acknowledge successful submission of the form and notify the visitor when they should expect to receive a response, where appropriate.
