Help Navigation

Secondary Navigation Bar example

The BU Core Design employs a Secondary Navigation Bar in the top right corner of all pages. Featuring the common "tab" motif, this menu offers links for help-related pages your visitors will use if they have questions or need contact information for your site. Most sites will feature a "Contact" link in this area, and many sites will feature their own FAQs -- served within their site's design -- and also a subset of the overall University FAQ System.

The Secondary Navigation Bar may also feature other help-related links such as alphabetical site indexes or related help sites. For example, the Secondary Navigation Bar on Student Central offers the Student Link and an A to Z Index, in addition to the standard FAQ and Contact links.

To accommodate more/fewer items in the Secondary Navigation Bar, the sloped (diagonal) edge of the tab-like graphic is moved to the left to widen the available space in the tab.
