The final component of the BU Core Design is the Page Signature. This important component orients your visitors to your site's location within the BU Web. It's close proximity to the BU logo offers a quick link back to the BU home page, while text links directly under the BU logo should provide links back to any parent units, departmental and/or school and college home pages. The Page Signature also features a date, indicating the last time the page was updated. This is important so your visitors are aware they are browsing a site that is actively maintained and they can expect fresh, reliable, accurate, and up-to-date content on the site. An appropriate addition to the Page Signature section might include a location/address for your department, especially for those departments that require in-person visits for support and services. |
