Other than the home page and Academics, Search is the most-visited page on the BU Web. And as sites grow, the Search function continues to be the most important tool for many visitors to your site. The BU Core Design addresses these needs in the BU Help Bar by offering a direct link to the Boston University home page by clicking the BU logo, as well as full search functionality for 1) the current site; 2) the entire BU Web; and 3) BU directory search as well. The BU Help Bar is not only multi-functional, but it also complements and completes the BU Core Design. The BU Help Bar aesthetically "closes" the content area of the page, giving visitors a consistent and graphically-pleasing indicator that they have reached the bottom of the page. |
