- Remember to substitute Thursday with
a Monday schedule at BU this week.
- On Thursday, April 23, see a lecture
“Home, Freedom, and Democracy in South Africa” by
Njabulo Ndebele. This author and educator will reflect on the
changing experience of South Africa since the end of apartheid.
The evening will include a reading from his novel, The Cry of
Winnie Mandela. BU Castle. 5:00 PM, free and open to the public.
A reception will follow.
- On Monday, April 20, attend a lecture
by Mark Gevisser, a leading South African journalist will discuss
his new book, “A Legacy of Liberation: Thabo Mbeki and
the Future of the South African Dream.” CAS 522. 6:00
PM. Free and open to the public.
