Professor Hamill teaches in the first-year Core Humanities and is the Activities Coordinator for the program. She is currently doing research on engravings by Jacques Callot and Raffaello Schiaminossi and the iconography of weaponry. She has forthcoming articles in Print Quarterly, Theatre Symposium and Performance of Violence in Contemporary Ireland. She also edited They Fight: Classical to Contemporary Stage Fight Scenes, a collection of theatrical combat scenes, with special attention paid to diverse weaponry and scenes for women. She is a member of the Popular Entertainment working group for IFTR and serves as a contributing editor to Popular Entertainment Studies. Her favorite book in CC101 is Gilgamesh.
