Frequenty Asked Questions:
Do I need to register for the conference if I am not planning to submit a paper?
No. The conference is open to the public (except for the conference dinner, which will be available to the committee and speakers only).
How will the conference be structured?
As key note talks followed by one hour sessions, with graduate students speaking for 30 minutes, a 10 minute commentary, and a 20 minute discussion
Will there be any social events?
Yes—an opening reception (open to all attendees) and a conference dinner (invitation only).
Are there any fees involved?
No. The conference is being funded with the generous support of Boston University and the Philosophy of Science Center.
If I am selected, will I get compensation for travel and accommodation?
No. This must be sought for from your home institution. However, we will do our best to provide accommodation in graduate student houses for all accepted speakers to make your stay more enjoyable.
What is the abstract submission deadline?
February 1st.
When will I find out if I have been selected?
By March 1st.
When will the full papers be due?
By March 30th.
Will this conference be in operation next year?
Yes. The conference committee and funding body plan to continue hosting this conference for the next few years.
