College of Arts & Sciences Class Day

Friday, May 19, 2017, 2 p.m.
Metcalf Hall, George Sherman Union, 775 Commonwealth Ave., 2nd Floor

The College of Arts & Sciences invites you to join the festivities at Class Day, an annual tradition bringing together faculty, students, and families in celebration of the graduating seniors and their achievements. One of the important parts of the CAS Class Day is to recognize the students who have won special awards and distinctions for their academic, organizational, and leadership accomplishments.  Additionally, each year’s Class Day speaker is chosen from among the many seniors who have submitted speeches for consideration.

Class Day is the celebration for all CAS Students, it is not a convocation ceremony nor are diplomas given to students at the Class Day Ceremony.  Students receive their diplomas at the departmental convocations which take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during Commencement Weekend.

Seniors are encouraged to attend in cap and gown. For further information, contact CAS Student Programs & Leadership (617-358-3199).
