The rental faculty gowns are black and the caps are the same octagonal tams as worn by the University’s doctoral candidates. Through an intercollegiate agreement, Barnes & Noble will be able to provide in almost all instances the hood appropriate to your highest degree and awarding institution. Orders for these rentals are placed by your school/college Commencement Coordinatorand are due to Barnes & Noble by February 22. Rental gowns will be delivered to the schools/colleges/departments during the week of April 23.

Barnes & Noble will also take orders for faculty who wish to purchase their own custom-made academic dress. The deadline for orders to guarantee delivery in time for Commencement is March 5. For more information about custom-made academic dress, contact Barnes & Noble at 617-267-8484.
