 
The 136th Commencement of Boston University will be held on Sunday,
May 17, 2009, at 1 pm at Nickerson Field, and will last about two
hours.
This ceremony is held outdoors; please check
the forecast and be prepared for changeable weather as necessary.
Seating at Nickerson Field is on a first-come, first-served basis.
As some 20,000 guests are expected to attend this event, it is recommended
that graduates and their guests read and be guided by the information
on this website.
Commencement is a rite of completion. The 2009 Commencement weekend
is full of special events honoring the achievement of the graduates and
expressing
the pleasure, excitement, and pride of their families, their teachers,
and their friends. Many events are
open to graduates and their families.
