Student Health Services will provide care and referrals to all students (including part-time students) and guests attending Commencement Weekend activities. Student Health Services, 881 Commonwealth Avenue (West), will be open from 8 am to 4:30 pm on Friday, May 15, and from 9 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17. There is always a doctor on call after hours, available by calling 617-353-3575 for medical consultations or 617-353-3569 for behavioral medicine.
On Commencement Day, there will be a First Aid station set-up in the Children's Center, 32 Harry Agganis Way, adjacent to Nickerson Field. It will be open from 11 am to 3 pm.
All guests who are cared for at Student Health Services will be asked to give the name of the degree candidate or staff member who has invited them to attend the Commencement events. The decision to provide first aid or to refer a person to a hospital emergency room will be the responsibility of the doctor or nurse on duty. Patients are responsible for all ambulance and hospital emergency charges.
The Department of Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance will furnish EMTs from BUEMS to provide on-site First Aid and arrange for ambulance transportation during the All-University Commencement on Sunday, May 17th. BUEMS will also staff First Aid stations at convocations held at Agganis Arena, the Track and Tennis Center, the Fitness and Recreation Center, Case Athletic Center, the George Sherman Union, the Fuller Building, and the Tsai Center.
