Accommodations and Travel

Graduate carrying around a big backpackThe Warren Towers Residence, 700 Commonwealth Avenue, can be your home away from home for Commencement Weekend. It will be available from 9 a.m. on Friday, May 15, through 11 a.m. on Monday, May 18 (Sunday check-in is not available).  Please remember that this is dormitory-style living; there are no bathrooms or telephones in individual rooms. The room cost for a single adult set-up is $65 per night; the room cost for one adult and one child (12 and under) is $90 per night. The room cost for two adults is $100 per night.  Each bed set-up consists of a freshly made twin bed with pillow and clean towels. A child 12 and under who does not require his/her own bed, may stay in your room at no additional cost; sleeping bags are suggested (pillows, linens, towels will not be provided).  On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday guests may enjoy a full American-style breakfast in the dining room for an additional charge of $5 per person, per day. Reservations must be made by Friday, May 1, 2009. Cancellations must be received by 5 p.m. on May 1, for a full refund; refunds will not be issued after May 1. If you prefer to stay in a hotel, we strongly urge you to make your reservations as soon as possible due to the fact May is a busy time of year.

The metropolitan area offers a wide selection of housing options including the Hotel Commonwealth. The Hotel Commonwealth, in Kenmore Square, combines the style, service and comfort of a bygone era with the amenities and features of the new millennium. Located at 500 Commonwealth Avenue, the Hotel Commonwealth is within walking distance to the Boston University Charles River Campus. For your convenience in finding and making arrangements at other Boston-area hotels, you may call Boston Reservations at 1-866-221-6097; they have access to the reservations systems of the area's primary and secondary hotels, and will assist in finding lodging to meet your particular travel needs.
