This year's Senior Breakfast was held on May 4, 2007. As is Boston University’s tradition, the names of the Commencement Speaker and honored guests were announced at breakfast. Dr. Steven Chu, director of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, will deliver the University’s 134th Commencement address. Bill Kovach, noted journalist, editor, and author, will speak at the Baccalaureate Service. Others who will receive honorary degrees are: celebrated American painter and University alumnus Brice Marden; Judy Norsigian, co-author of “Our Bodies, Ourselves;” Dr. Samuel O. Thier, former CEO of Partners HealthCare System, Inc.; and Peter Vermilye, senior advisor and portfolio manager at Fortis Investments and Boston University Trustee.
This year’s senior class gift is a Boston University portfolio and insignia pen. For those who were not able to attend breakfast, the gift can be picked up in the Office of Dean of Students Office beginning on Monday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
