Student Accounts/Office of Financial Assistance Students must complete payment of any outstanding balance by April 1, 2001 to ensure that release of diplomas is not delayed for financial reasons. The University will make every attempt to ensure that diplomas are awarded at Commencement to students who have met academic requirements BUT who do not settle their accounts until after April 1, but cannot guarantee it. April 1 is also the last day for students to have completed required exit interviews for certain loans received for their education. These interviews are required for all students who were awarded Stafford Loans, Perkins Loans, and Federal Direct Stafford Loans. Students will be notified by the Office of Financial Assistance of the date and time of their appointments. For more information, call 617/353-2965. For your convenience, Student Accounting Services and the Office of Financial Assistance will have extended hours during Commencement Weekend; exact times will be announced later in the spring semester. For more information, call 617/353-2264.
