Parking, MBTA Passes and Shuttle Buses

Unless used as a convocation site, all University parking facilities will be open, without charge, except the Babcock Street parking lot, which is reserved for handicapped parking. Access to the Babcock parking area requires a special permit obtained in advance from the Office of Disability Services, 617/353-3658.

In anticipation of heavy traffic and limited parking spaces on-campus and along Commonwealth Avenue, we urge you to leave your vehicle where you are staying and use public transportation.

With the cooperation of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, we will provide complimentary one-day passes to all MBTA Rapid Transit, bus, and streetcar services on Sunday, May 20. These passes will be distributed to graduates and their guests at the University Information Center, 771 Commonwealth Avenue, May 1620, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Passes will also be distributed on Sunday, May 20, at the conclusion of the main Commencement Exercises, on Harry Agganis Way and on the "T" platforms located near Babcock Street and Harry Agganis Way.

For your convenience, shuttle buses will operate continuously along Commonwealth Avenue to transport guests to Nickerson Field and on-campus convocation sites. Service hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The buses will stop upon request.
