Senior Brunch

This year's Senior Brunch was held on Friday, May 4th. The senior gift, a desk clock, was presented to the Class of 2001. Seniors who did not receive their gift should go the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, 599 Commonwealth Avenue, 7th floor, to obtain it. A B.U. ID is required.

As is the tradition of Boston University, the names of the commencement speaker, the baccalaureate preacher, and honorary degree recipients were announced.

Delivering this year's Commencement Address and receiving an honorary degree is Her Excellency, Sila Calderón, governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The Baccalaureate Sermon will be delivered by the Reverend Nicholas C. Triantafilou, president of Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology; Father Triantafilou will also receive an honorary degree. Others receiving Boston University's Honorary Degree are: Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino; businessman Leonard Florence; and Kathryn Silber who was the first lady of Boston University for more than a quarter-century.
