Commencement Address and Honorees

The Honorable Sila Calderón, governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, will deliver Boston University's 128th Commencement Address at the All-University Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 20th at Nickerson Field. Governor Calderón will also receive an honorary degree.

The Baccalaureate Sermon will be delivered by the Reverend Nicholas C. Triantafilou, president of Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology; During the Commencement ceremony, Father Triantafilou will also receive an honorary degree.

Others receiving Boston University's Honorary Degree are: Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino; businessman Leonard Florence; and Kathryn Silber who was the first lady of Boston University for more than a quarter-century.
