Shorr AWARD WINNERS JOIN SPORTS INSTITUTE STAFF BOSTON, MA (DEC, 20, 2008) – The Sports Institute at Boston University is happy to welcome award-winning journalists Paul Flannery and Dominic Reuter to the staff. Responding to changes in the economy, The Sports Institute at Boston University is reducing its Tuition charges while maintaining the highest quality program. The Sports Institute at Boston University provides a highly specialized curriculum for motivated students within a nationally renowned setting. Flannery is currently the online editor for Boston Magazine and will teach sports journalism this coming summer. In addition to his duties at Boston Magazine, Flannery covers the World Champion Boston Celtics for WEEI.com. He has worked on newspapers in Oregon, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania. Reuter is a the senior technician and manager at Boston University’s Photo Lab. He is also a highly regarded freelance photographer who has worked for the Boston Red Sox and ICON Sports Media And has also produced pieces for the Living Earth foundation. Reuter will instruct the Multimedia component of the Sports Institute which will include Final Cut Pro, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Wordpress. For the seventh year in a row, the Sports Institute will be directed by Frank H. Shorr. Shorr is an assistant professor at Boston University and will teach broadcast Sports and run the sports journalism seminar series at the Institute. Past guests have included Bob Ryan of the Boston Globe, Sean McDonough of CBS Sports and Michael Smith of ESPN as well as a host of prominent national sports journalists.
