This peer-reviewed scientific journal publishes theoretical and empirical papers and essays and book reviews that advance an understanding of media effects and processes on individuals in society. The editorial offices of AJMP are located in the College of Communication at BU. The editor is Dr. Michael Elasmar, Associate Professor of Communication and Director of the Communication Research Center. Scientific articles published by AJMP have a psychological focus, which means the level of analysis focuses on individuals and their interaction with or relationship to mass media content and institutions.
