Devin Hahn

As the senior video producer at Boston University Productions, Devin Hahn creates video content for Boston University's main external communications outlets, including the daily news website (BU Today), the alumni magazine (Bostonia Online), the research website, and BU’s social media channels. Devin studied anthropology and documentary film production at UCLA, and in 2013 earned a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction Writing at Boston University. In 2013 and 2014, Devin worked closely with former United States Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky to produce all of the video content for his massive open online course, The Art of Poetry, which featured 80 individual videos, including a live PoemJazz concert performance. Devin's cocktail detective blog, Periodista Tales, has been a favorite of Boston-area bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts since 2010, and has been referenced by The New York Times, Stephanie Schorrow's Drinking Boston, Serious Eats, WBUR's Public Radio Kitchen (twice), Eater Boston, and many others. For his work at BU, Devin has traveled to thirteen countries across five continents, interviewed physicists and filmmakers, brain surgeons and brewmasters, archaeologists and opera singers, but many of his favorite videos were shot right here on campus with BU's incredible students.
