The Podcast Academy at Boston University is an opportunity to learn about this new mode of communication, with growth so explosive, that Podcast was selected as the word of the year!

The Podcast Academy will provide guidance on how to create, distribute and use podcasts. The Academy schedule offers basic "how to" classes for beginners as well as advanced classes for more seasoned professionals. Expert instructors will explain the mechanics of creating podcasts, getting and using the right equipment, coming up with a style for your podcast and then distributing it to the right audience.

Podcasts are being used now for marketing, for internal communication, for PR, and education, as well as individual expression. No matter what your interest, the Podcast Academy will have something for everyone.

Through unique instructional demonstrations, hands-on sessions, and networking, you will come away from the Podcast Academy with a comprehensive view of how podcasts can be a vital new tool in content creation and distribution. You'll have practical information and expertise that you can take away and use immediately.

The first Podcast Academy, led by Doug Kaye of the Conversations Network, at the Portable Media Expo in California in the fall, garnered rave reviews. This spring event builds on its success, and based on feedback from attendees, expands the Academy from one to two days.

This Podcast Academy event is a collaboration of Boston University and The Conversations Network.
