Homosexuality in Singapore: Perceptions, Public Opinion, and the Media
Ben Detenber: Guest speaker and Chair of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. This event is hosted by the Center for Communication Research as part of the Fall CRC lecture series. Topic will focus on the role of mediated and interpersonal communication, religiosity, and other demographic factors in shaping perceptions and attitudes toward gay men and lesbians in Singapore's conservative environment. Focus is based on recent research and findings will be discussed in the broader context of Asia amid current and future social trends.
