Production of professional-quality portfolio based on internship and other published work; also, production of a written assessment of the internship and sponsoring organization.
Science Webmagazine

Ellen Ruppel Shell and Doug Starr
Students design, produce and edit a professional-quality multimedia webmagazine, using new material and material written and produced during the first two semesters.
One elective
Students may take writing courses in the College of Communication or graduate level science or science policy courses at Boston University or other institution in the Boston area. Students are encouraged to avail themselves of the College's broad course selection, ranging from literary journalism to multimedia, television, radio and film production. Courses are also available in press and government, journalism history and ethics, communications law, and research methods for journalists.
