Reporting on Nature's Deadline:
The political, diplomatic, business and policy conflicts surrounding global climate change.

On January 13, 2003, the Center for Science and Medical Journalism, in collaboration with the Tufts University Climate Initiative and the New England Science Center Collaborative, held a conference for scientists and journalists on the emerging conflicts likely to accompany global climate change. The meeting, which took place on the Tufts campus, featured some of the most notable scientists and policy makers in the climate debate, including Dr. James McCarthy; Alexander Agassiz Professor of Biological Oceanography and co-chair of the IPCC working group; Steven W. Percy, former CEO of British Petroleum USA; Dr. William Moomaw, Director of International Environment and Resource Policy Program at Tufts University and member of the IPCC; Ross Gelbspan, Pulitzer-prize winning journalist and author of The Heat is On, and many others.
