The Center for Science and Medical Journalism at Boston University is dedicated to improving the quality of science and medical journalism worldwide by training students and veteran journalists to recognize, investigate, analyze and explain scientific and medical findings and issues.

The Center's interdisciplinary nature and special concentration in medical reporting encourage students and journalists from diverse disciplines to learn from each other as well as from the faculty. Graduates of the Center enter the profession with a strong grounding in research and journalistic and narrative techniques, serving a growing public need for specialized information.
