how to apply

Eligible applicants are high school students ages 14 to 17, but most of our students are rising juniors and seniors. While the institute provides valuable hands-on experience, we do not offer college credit.

No application decisions can be made until all portions of the application packet are returned to the ITRP office. To be considered for admission to ITRP, you must complete and submit the following:

• One page essay explaining why you want to attend ITRP
• Current high school transcript
• Letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor
• $25 application fee
• Complete application form ^*

All interested students are encouraged to apply, regardless of media experience. Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, so early appplication is strongly encouraged.
