Application Deferred

If your BU College of Communication application was deferred for Fall 2007 or Fall 2008, please follow these instructions.

Admission for Fall 2009 is not automatic and your file will go back to committee. If you do wish to re-apply, you must send a letter to Graduate Services, which we must RECEIVE by February 1, 2009. The letter should include what you have been doing since you last applied and include any new contact information (including email). You must also send any additional/new requirements. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions page on our website to view all application items.

You may update other materials in your application file, but we must also receive them by February 1.

If you are an international student, you must retake the TOEFL (if that is your required test - please check the FAQ for instructions) and complete the new International Student Video Requirement.

You do not need to resend the application fee.

Application Incomplete

You must complete all current requirements and let us know that you have previously applied to our school. We only keep file for the past two cycles (Fall 2007 and Fall 2008).

Application Rejected

You must complete all current requirements and significantly improve your application. We only keep file for the past two cycles (Fall 2007 and Fall 2008).
