For research, students may use the Krasker Library, a collection of thousands of film and video titles, many of which are very rare. Mugar Library, the university’s main library, also has extensive holdings of books, periodicals and personal papers related to film, as well as screening stations for viewing videos held on reserve. Finally, the department’s screening rooms include facilities for projection of 35mm, 16mm, DVD, laser disk, and various video formats.

Film production students are expected to provide their own materials and supplies, such as film stock and other consumable items. The amount of such material varies according to the curriculum of the individual course and the rate at which the student uses the material.
