Created in the late 1960s, the Center for Science & Medical Journalism at Boston University is dedicated to improving the quality of science and medical journalism worldwide. We strive to meet this goal by training students and veteran journalists to recognize, investigate, analyze and explain scientific and medical findings and issues.
A career in science and medical journalism offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to explore the cutting edge issues of our times. BU’s three semester Master’s Degree in Science Journalism program is run by internationally known journalists with unparalleled training and experience in this exciting field. The program prepares beginning journalists for careers in science, medical and public health reporting.
