Professor Norkin is an Internet, Wireless Content, New Media and TV consultant who has worked with companies such as InterActiveCorp, Palm and Hearst. She managed wireless content partnerships & the software download business for Palm, and helped start InfoPlease.com, which was later acquired by Pearson Education. Professor Norkin was assistant news director & executive producer of news, specials, and production at WHDH-TV and executive producer at WCVB-TV, where she was in charge of the daily newscasts, winning numerous local and national awards. Prior to that Professor Norkin was in news management with Post-Newsweek and Westinghouse Broadcasting. She started her media career working in the White House as a photographer. Professor Norkin teaches a wide range of broadcast journalism and multimedia courses and ran the Podcast Academy at Boston University.
