H. Joachim Maitre

Professor Maitre has served as professor and acting chair of the German department at McGill University, and has also taught at the University of Nigeria.
He is a well-known journalist, particularly for his in-depth studies of current defense and political issues, and has served as senior editor for Axel Springer Publishing Company and managing director for Ullstein Publishing Company. Maitre has been a national fellow at the Hoover Institution (Stanford University) and a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow.
