Professor Wu came to Boston University in 2007 after a nine-year tenure at Louisiana State University. His research focuses on international communication, media effects, and political communication. A recipient of several top faculty paper awards from AEJMC convention, he won multiple research grants and published more than 20 referred articles and book chapters. His co-authored new book, Media, Politics, and Asian Americans is due out in the spring of 2008. A former Head of Mass Communication and Society division and officer of International Communication division of AEJMC, he is active in professional service, currently sitting on the editorial boards of Mass Communication and Society, Journal of Global Mass Communication, and Journal of Political Marketing. He teaches research methods and communication theory in Boston University.
