Professor Mehren is a former national correspondent and New England Bureau Chief for the Los Angeles Times. She was a reporter and editor at The Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle and several other California publications.

She has published articles in many national magazines and is the author of Born Too Soon (Doubleday/Kensington Books), After the Darkest Hour (Fireside/Simon & Shuster) and is co-author of Overcoming Infertility (Doubleday). Professor Mehren also has extensive experience on television and radio, including The Today Show, Fox News, CBS News and CNN.
