Sasha Norkin
Associate Professor, Journalism
Professor Norkin is an internet, wireless content, new media and television consultant who has worked with companies such as InterActiveCorp, Palm and Hearst. She managed wireless content partnerships and the software download business for Palm, and helped start InfoPlease.com, which was later acquired by Pearson Education. Professor Norkin was assistant news director and executive producer of news, specials and production at WHDH-TV as well as executive producer at WCVB-TV, where she was in charge of the daily newscasts. Prior to that, Professor Norkin was in news management with Post-Newsweek and Westinghouse Broadcasting. She started her media career working in the White House as a photographer. Professor Norkin teaches a wide range of broadcast journalism and multimedia courses and runs the Podcast Academy at Boston University.
