Gino Del Guercio

Gino Del Guercio is a documentary filmmaker specializing in science, medicine and technology. Trained at WGBH Boston, he has worked as a producer, writer, and director for The Discovery Channel, PBS, and A&E. His feature documentary Abandoned in the Arctic premiered at the Harvard Science Center in 2009. He has won numerous awards including an Emmy, best science documentary of the year from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Chairman’s Prize from the International Science Film Festival. His writing has been published in The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Boston Globe. He is currently executive producer at Boston Science Communications, Inc., and is working on a 3D IMAX film on River Dolphins in association with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.
