‘Eat Me’ takes top prize at Short Film Festival

On April 20, the College of Communication Student Assembly (COMSA) held “Your Take,” the BU Student Short Film Festival. A total of 11 short films were screened by the audience, which voted on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Prizes included Best Buy gift cards and iPod nanos. “Dilemma” by Javier Melendez won 1st place, “It’s the Little Things” by Bryan Sih won 2nd place, and “Edward” by Erik Hinrichsen won 3rd place. Kate Llona was selected as the grand prize winner by the panel of COM film professors to win an iPad and have her short film “Eat Me” featured on the COM website.

Hannah, the main character in the film, is starving during class while crunching, munching and slurping noises keep distracting her. Hannah can’t take it as another student eats increasingly ridiculous foods.
