  • Career Counseling: You can make an appointment to meet with Director Joyce Greenwood Rogers to discuss your career goals and receive professional input on the appropriate steps toward those goals.
  • Resume and Cover Letter Critiquing: Don’t send your resume or cover letter until you’ve had it critiqued by one of our experts. You will not get a second chance to make that first impression.

  • H1B Base – Everything you need to obtain a USA work visa
    Expert advice for international students considering obtaining an H1B visa. H1B Base is set up to help people from all over the world achieve their dream of living and working in the USA.
  • The Career Insider (powered by The Vault): This is an online resource library with a huge collection of articles about all types of careers. Here you can read about what a typical day is like for a variety of different positions. The Vault also includes a collection of databases with company directories for advertising, public relations, film and television. You can also research career fields, compile company and industry information and review trade publications. Note: The vault is a service COM purchases for its students. When you click on The Career Insider, you will be prompted to log on. Please use your BU email address, and create a password. Once you complete this process, you will have your permanent password for the system.
  • COMessenger: If you are in the midst of an internship or job search, the COMessenger will give you all the latest postings in one easy-to-access place.
  • Internship Database: Use this database if you are searching for an internship or just curious about the opportunities that are out there.
  • COM Jobs: As you approach your graduation date, use this database to search for a job.
  • Networking: Learn why networking is helpful and get tips on developing and maintaining a network of peers and associates starting as a student and continuing throughout your career.
