Academic Programs

Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Junior Fellows Program
One-year fellowship for uniquely qualified graduating seniors. Carnegie Junior Fellows work as research assistants to the Endowment’s senior associates.

City of Boston Scholarship Fund
Students who have been living in Boston for at least two years can apply for this scholarship.

Josephine De Karman Fellowship
This fellowship program recognizes and assists students whose scholastic achievements reflect professor von Karman’s high standards. Undergraduates entering their senior year are eligible.

Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship
This fellowship provides opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. Undergraduate seniors and graduates with bachelor degrees are eligible.

Advertising

New England Direct Marketing Association Scholarship
For marketing, advertising and communications students who will have completed their sophomore or junior years prior to the award year, and who are seriously interested in marketing careers.

Film, Television, and Radio

Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship
Four scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants. Additionally, successful applicants are mentored by children’s programming professionals during the academic year.

International Radio and Television Society Foundation Summer Fellowship
Fellows gain full-time “real world” experience at New York-based media corporations. Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are eligible.

Kodak Student Scholarship Program
Includes the Kodak Student Scholarship Award and the Kodak Student Cinematography Scholarship Award.

National Association for Amateur Radio
Various American Radio Relay League, Inc. (ARRL) Foundation Scholarships for students interested in amateur radio.

Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting
The Academy’s Don and Gee Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting is an international screenwriting competition established to identify and encourage talented new screenwriters.

Phi Delta Theta Lyon Scholarship
A scholarship established to assist students who share Brother Lyon’s passion for making films.

Sundance Grants and Fellowships
Various grants and fellowships from the Sundance Institute.

Journalism

Hearst Fellowships
Fellows can expect to write stories, shoot and produce their own videos, blog and use social media to raise awareness of their work. The program lasts 18 months.

Peter Agris Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship awarded annually to several young Greek-Americans pursuing studies in the fields of journalism or communications.

Pulliam Journalism Fellowship
The Indianapolis Star and The Arizona Republic, Gannett Co. newspapers seek college students and new graduates for this journalism fellowship program.

Reynolds Fellowship in Community Journalism
Annual fellowship offered to journalists who are U.S. citizens and who work at U.S. daily and weekly newspapers with a circulation less than 50,000. (Also Web journalists)

Robert L. Bartley Fellowship Program
The fellowships will be provided to young thinkers and writers who aspire to careers in journalism.

Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism
The Carter Center Mental Health Program in Atlanta, GA provides 6 one-year fellowships for U.S. journalists to report on a selected topic regarding mental health or mental illnesses.

Stone & Holt Weeks Fellowship
The journalism fellowship was created in memory of Stone and Holt Weeks by NPR and The Washington Post following their tragic deaths.

Public Relations

Coro Fellows Program
A full-time, nine month leadership training program in Public Affairs. It is offered in Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and St. Louis.

Fleishman Hillard International Communications Scholarships
Various scholarship, fellowship, and internship opportunities for students.

PRSSA Scholarships
Each year the Public Relations Student Society of America presents more than $20,000 in scholarships and awards to members and chapters who exhibit outstanding merit in public relations.

International/Travel Programs

Cultural Vistas Alfa Fellowship Program
For  young professionals who are placed in work assignments at leading organizations in Russia in the fields of journalism, business, economics, law, public policy and related areas.

David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarships & Graduate Fellowships
Multiple opportunities for international study.

Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst Scholarship
Offers multiple opportunities and financial assistance to students in the United States and Canada to study in Germany.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program
A variety of programs for students, faculty, professionals, and administrators.

George J. Mitchell Scholarships
This opportunity offers students the chance to spend one year of post-graduate study in Ireland.

Marshall Scholarship
Finances high-achieving, young Americans to study in the UK for a graduate degree following graduation.

SSRC’s Abe Fellowship for Journalists
The Abe Fellowship for Journalists is designed to encourage in-depth coverage of topics of pressing concern to the United States and Japan through individual short-term policy-related projects.
