  • Suggested Timetable for using COM Career Services during each year at BU

  • Cover Letter and Resume Samples are examples to help you put together your resume and cover letter
  • Seminars are offered throughout the year on a variety of subjects including how to get an internship
  • ADWeek Directory/PRWeek Directory/Hollywood Creative Directory:  directories full of essential proprietary company information to assist with your job search.  These directories can only be accessed in the COM Career Services office, room 112.
  • The Career Insider is an online resource library with a collection of articles about all types of careers. Here you can read about what a typical day is like for a variety of different positions. The Vault also includes a collection of databases with company directories for advertising, public relations, film and television. You can also research career fields, compile company and industry information and review trade publications. Note: The vault is a service COM purchases for its students. When you click on The Career Insider, you will be prompted to log on. Please use your BU email address, and create a password. Once you complete this process, you will have your permanent password for the system.
  • Going Global 80,000 page database contains Country Career Guides, USA and Canadian City Career Guides, corporate profiles, 600,000 worldwide job and internship openings and a proprietary collection of H1B visa employer listings.  Going Global can be accessed through BU CareerLink Central Career Services site.
