ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Submit an Abstract:

Abstracts for scientific oral presentations and posters are encouraged. Computer exhibits will NOT be accepted.

Deadline for receipt: August 18, 2008
Notification of acceptance: August 29, 2008

All abstracts must be submitted in electronic format, either as email attachments, CD-ROM or 3.5" diskettes. Email submissions are preferred. Please indicate if you wish your submission to be considered for an oral presentation or a poster or both.

As an accredited CME sponsor, Boston University School of Medicine requires that its speakers, including free paper and poster presenters, comply with the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support of CME (http://www.accme.org). You are required to disclose any significant financial interest or relationship that you may have with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial product or service that is discussed as part of your presentation. You must complete the CME disclosure form and return it with your abstract submission. Your abstract will not be considered for review without a completed disclosure form.

Layout: 10 point Times New Roman (or equivalent font)

Structure:

TITLE: (not to exceed two lines or 90 characters)

AUTHOR LIST: (not to exceed three lines or 150 characters)

INSTITUTION: (name, city, state, country)

PURPOSE: (brief summary of purpos or goal, 1 - 4 sentences)

METHODS: (methods, materials, patients, software, etc.)

RESULTS: (results, findings)

CONCLUSION: (summarize conclusions)

The entire abstract should not exceed 4,000 characters (excluding title, authors and institution).

If images, figures or graphs are included, the abstract should be formatted to be no larger than one sheet of 8.5" by 11" paper, with uniform 2" margins.
