Program Purpose:

To improve diabetes management, primary care clinicians must remain up-to-date with the latest treatment guidelines, develop practical strategies to overcome clinical inertia, monitor patients regularly, and be able and willing to intensify therapy when appropriate.

This educational initiative will help increase the primary care clinician's confidence and ability to improve glycemic control in patients with Type 2 diabetes, reducing risk for morbidity and mortality, and fostering the positive results that can be obtained through timely and sustained interventions.

Lecture Series:

These lectures address a combination of clinical content and systems barriers, as well as suggested interventions and practical tips to promote meaningful changes. Boston University School of Medicine chose the topics for these teleconferences based on the data from your chart review, to tailor the education directly to your needs.
