Material Transfer Agreements

Researchers who wish to deposit (“Providers”) or screen (“Recipients”) compounds in our Chemical Library Consortium must sign our three-way Material Transfer Agreement allowing for the intake and redistribution of small molecule libraries by the BU-CMD. BU will not accept any changes or modifications to the Agreements.

Providers

Compound Providers must:

  1. Sign the Provider Transfer Agreement (PTA) allowing for transfer of compounds to Boston University
  2. Sign the Standard Provider Material Transfer Agreement Between Provider and Recipient (SPMTA), allowing for the redistribution of the compounds to our various screening recipients. The partially executed agreement will be held at BU, and each time a new Screening Recipient joins our Chemical Library Consortium, Providers will be emailed a copy of the associated fully executed SPMTA.

This document should be completed (yellow highlighted areas) and included with all compounds submitted to our repository.

Recipients

Screening Recipients must:

  1. Sign the Boston University-Recipient Transfer Agreement (BURTA), allowing the transfer of materials from Boston University to the Recipient.
  2. Sign one Standard Provider Material Transfer Agreement Between Provider and Recipient (SPMTA) for each Provider who has contributed compounds to the screening collection.
