About Classroom Technology Services

Classroom Technology Services (CTS) is a group within the IT Help Center in Boston University’s Information Services & Technology office. CTS is involved with the design, specification, configuration and support of audio/visual equipment in the University Registrar classrooms. Our team is comprised of Instructional Technology Specialists, Staff Coordinators and Student Technology Specialists.

We have offices and depots across campus so we are close by if you need us!

  • Our CTS hotline 617-353-3227 is monitored throughout our open hours. Dial 3-3227 from any campus phone.
  • You can send mail to us at classrooms@bu.edu with general questions or requests.
  • Our students wear easily identifiable uniform shirts and name badges and they patrol the halls throughout the day.
  • CTS utilizes a central command center, controlled and monitored by our staff, and our students are equipped with push-to-talk devices so they are in constant contact and can be deployed quickly to an emergency situation in a classroom.
