Announcing the Department of Classical Studies and the Core Curriculum’s annual “Aristophanes”...
Undergraduate Classics Association
The UCA is an organization open to any BU undergraduates who have an appreciation for the Classics. They host different performances, discussions, film screenings, trips, and receptions throughout the year, which allow members to experience the glory of Greece and Rome outside the classroom and get to know one another better.
Perennial events include the Agon Recitation Contest, in which students compete against one another in performing a passage in the original Greek and Latin; and the Aristophanes Reading where the UCA acts out an Aristophanes comedy with the aid of guitars, rubber chickens, and translations of BU’s own Professor Jeffery Henderson.
If you are interested in joining or learning more, feel free to talk with one of our friendly officers. Alternatively, send the UCA an email at firstname.lastname@example.org so they can add you to the mailing list.
Please visit the UCA website for more information or to see upcoming events.
