Hotel & Travel Information

The 2009 CiVSA conference will be held at Boston University's Executive Leadership Center, located inside the School of Management. The Center was built to accommodate professionals with a design promoting comfort, teamwork, and technological innovation. Registration for the program includes your conference materials. Hotel and transportation fees are not included.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Hotel accommodations have been arranged with the the Hyatt Regency-Cambridge, a luxury hotel located 2.5 miles from the school. A special room rate of $219 plus tax is available for program participants when booked prior to May 23, 2009. Please contact the hotel directly for reservations and state that you are attending the 2009 CiVSA conference at Boston University.

TRANSPORTATION: DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE HYATT REGENCY
From Logan Airport : 4.4 miles from Hyatt Regency BostonFollow directions for Ted Williams Tunnel. Go through tunnel and follow signs for exit 25, S. Station. At top of ramp, take a right onto Congress St, follow to “D” St, take a right onto “D” St, and your 2nd right onto Summer St. Follow Summer St to Kingston St, turn left into Kingston St then right into Bedford St. Take next left onto Chauncy St then right onto Ave De Lafayette. The Hotel entrance is on your right.

From South
Going 93N, take exit 20 "I-90 /Logan Airport/Worcester/S Station". Stay in left lane and follow sign for “S Station”, then signs for “Chinatown” (about 1 mile). At bottom of ramp, take a left onto Kneeland St. After 5 blocks, take a right onto Washington, then 3 more blocks, make a right onto Ave De Lafayette. The hotel is located half way down the block on left.

From North
Route 95S to Route 93S. Take Exit 20A “S Station”. Off the exit, proceed straight onto Purchase St. At the 1st set of lights, take a right onto Summer St. After 2 blocks turn left onto Kingston St. Then take the 1st right onto Bedford St, left onto Chauncy St and right onto Ave De Lafayette. The Hotel entrance is on your right.

From Mass Pike Rt 90E
Take exit 24a “Downtown/South Station”. At the bottom of the ramp turn left at the light onto Kneeland St. After 4 blocks turn right onto Washington St. Follow until the 3rd set of lights then right onto Ave De Lafayette. The Hotel entrance will be on the left.

From Storrow Dr.
Take the Copley Sq. Exit, putting you on Clarendon St. After 5 blocks, turn left on Boylston and follow past the Boston Common. Turn left onto Washington then right onto Ave De Lafayette. The Hotel entrance will be on your left.

TRANSPORTATION: PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO THE HYATT REGENCY
From Logan Airport: From your terminal, take the SL1 Silver Line train toward South Station. At South Station, take the Alewife Red Line train to the Kendall/MIT stop, which is the fourth stop after departing South Station. After exiting the station, take the CT2 (Sullivan Station – Ruggles Station) bus from the Main Street and Kendall Station bus stop to the Vassar Street/Massachusetts Avenue stop, which is the first stop after you’ve boarded the bus. From here, the hotel is a short walk away. Proceed southeast on Amesbury St. until you’ve reached Memorial Drive. Turn right onto Memorial Drive and the hotel will be within 150 ft.
*Please note, at certain times of day the wait for the CT2 bus can be as long as 30 minutes. A schedule of stop times is available at www.mbta.com.

You may also walk from the Kendall/MIT station to the Hyatt Regency, which would take about 25 minutes. To proceed this way, go west on Main Street toward Cambridge Center. At the intersection with Vassar Street, turn left and walk for 1 mile. Upon reaching the intersection with Amesbury Street, turn left and follow the last paragraph of directions above.

TRANSPORTATION: DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO BOSTON UNIVERSITY
From the West
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike east (I-90) to the Cambridge/Allston exit. Take Storrow Drive east (Route 2 east) to the second Boston University exit. Take the Kenmore exit ramp. At the end of the ramp, take a right onto Beacon Street. In two blocks, Beacon merges with Commonwealth Avenue. Stay to the right on Commonwealth for one block. The School of Management is at 595 Commonwealth Avenue. There are a number of attended parking lots in the Kenmore Square area. There is also metered street parking.

From the North
Take 93 South to Storrow Drive west. Follow Storrow Drive west to the Kenmore exit ramp. At the end of the ramp, take a right onto Beacon Street. In two blocks, Beacon merges with Commonwealth Avenue. Stay to the right on Commonwealth for one block. The School of Management is at 595 Commonwealth Avenue. From the South
Follow Route 93 North into Boston. Take the Storrow Drive exit. Follow about 1.5 miles to the Kenmore exit. At the end of the ramp take a right onto Beacon Street. TRANSPORTATION: PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO BOSTON UNIVERSITY
From Logan Airport: Take the Blue Line from the airport to the Green Line at Government Center. Take a "B" train ("Boston College" train) on the Green Line. This will take you through Kenmore Square and up Commonwealth Avenue. Get off at the first stop above ground, "Blandford Street". The Boston University School of Management is directly across the street from where you disembark, at 595 Commonwealth Avenue.
