The City Planning and Urban Affairs Student Association was started in 2006. The purpose of the association is to strengthen community relationships within the program and with other institutions. Founded by Pablo Aboumrad, MCP Class of 2008, the association has organized events to help students interact more with classmates, faculty members, and alumni.
The position of Student Association president rotates annually. Call or e-mail the Department of Applied Social Sciences for the current president’s contact information. Prospective students are encouraged to consult with the Student Association president as they consider applying to or accepting admission to the program.
The Student Association encourages the unity of students within the program, assists students that are just starting, and celebrates students who are graduating. Any student in the program is welcome to join, and can post notes on our student column in the bi-monthly newsletter.
