Biography:
The question at the core of Dr. Sungu’s work is: what factors influence the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of cities? In searching for answers, she has worked with academics, practitioners, civic leaders, community organizers, and policy analysts.
Her publications range from innovation-oriented economic development to brownfields redevelopment and from community land trusts to inter-organizational collaboration in disaster management.
She was a visiting scholar at the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning, Tufts University. She also worked as a research associate at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy in Cambridge, MA.
