X-ray Training

Training is available for BU researchers who wish to perform their own structure determinations on small molecule crystals or screening and data collection on protein crystals.

For small molecule X-ray crystallography (SMX), beginning in Summer 2016 we will offer the SMX Boot Camp, a six-week, six hour course including lectures and hands-on training.  This is the best way for new SMX users to come up to speed on the basics of structure determination and on the specifics of collecting data on our instrument.  Please click the link above for details.

New users for protein/macromolecular crystallography should contact the lab manager for one-on-one training.

All new users must complete the BU Analytical X-ray Safety course on the BU RIMS website.
