Past Graduate Student Awardees
2009/2010
- Feldman Award: Joseph Tucker (Stephenson Group) – With an outstanding undergraduate record, Joe entered the program as a College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Fellow. He has lived up to his promise, already providing leadership in his group. His work has appeared in two Stephenson group publications. In his time here, he has mentored undergraduate and high school students alike. Finally, he plays a role in many of the graduate program efforts, particularly in the year’s successful recruiting program.
- Lichtin Award for Excellence in Research: Suwei Dong (Porco Group) – Suwei has a number of very impressive accomplishments during his PhD studies, including organic synthesis methodologies that were published in J. Am. Chem. and Jr. Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.
- Sugata Ray Memorial Award for International Students: Gulbenk Anarat (Caradonna Group) – Gulbenk has made significant research contributions of interest to enzymologists, bioinorganic chemists, and to the general biological chemical community. In addition to her keen research abilities, she is known in the Department as one of our most outstanding Teaching Fellows.
