Research in the Department is supported on grants from government agencies (National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Defense), private foundations (American Cancer Society, Petroleum Research Fund, Dreyfus, Whitaker, Sloan, the Medical Foundation), and corporations (Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pfizer, Amgen, and AstraZeneca). It spans the breadth of chemistry and has resulted in many honors and awards for the faculty and their research groups.
